   p.s. i took in a couple of great flicks last night `the white ribbon’, which took a golden globe award for best foreign picture, and `the last station’, which deals with the last few months of leo tolstoy’s life in particular his fierce struggle with his wife over his works and the estate, helen mirren who plays sofya, tolstoy’s wife, turns in a stunning performance and should get an oscar, `the white ribbon’ takes place in a small village in north germany in the months leading up to the first world war, several mysterious deaths and accidents occur in the village, the local teacher surmises that some kids in the viillage have come together as a gang, this gang does some nasties including blinding a mentally challenged boy, but when the teacher confronts the pastor with his thoughts he finds himself being threatened with dismissal or worse, the teacher’s thoughts or theory includes the pastor’s kids as gang leaders, the director of the film theorizes that the failure of german society to deal with violent acts by its children eventually led to the Holocaust and the rise of the nazis who exploited a poorly disciplined generation, many of whom returned from the trenches in 1919 with no prospects and joined the freikorp, which despised democracy and created anarchy …`The last station’ refers to the last train station in southern russia that tolstoy reached in his efforts to find peace from the clash with his wife, and the station where he died ….eric xxxxxxxxxoooooooo

   I am sick…fever, sneezing, feelin awfull and so on…and I`m in an examination period at school all I do all day long is learning, but after seeing Mr. Steel I feel waaaaay better, so exams, here I come
